Bring Your Baby
ART & CRAFT
for parent & carers with new babies

This 2 hour long BYB (bring your baby) weekly art & craft session is held every Tuesday in term time for parents & carers of babies under 1. It is an opportunity, for parents & carers of young babies, to spend some time with like minded people & a chance to get creative. We run varied creative projects that actively encourage a focus on the benefits of wellbeing activities and peer support. Recent courses have included modern calligraphy, 3D decoupage letters, Christmas stockings, embroidery, applique and various sewing projects, painted dolls, wooden mobiles, pom pom wreaths, wooden height charts, etc.
Many groups are focused on your baby, but this one is about you & tapping into your creativity. The first year of having a new baby can a roller coaster & this class is intended to provide you with a consistent creative outlet to keep you going through that first year. Fun & creative, tutor- guided, art & craft projects take place throughout the year in term time, suitable for all abilities, which you are welcome to join when you can.
Baby changing facilities available & breastfeeding friendly. Tea, coffee & cake available.
Suggested donation £5 per session - sign up for this subsidised 5 week course funded by SS&L for which you must be aged over 19 and be a resident of Somerset to qualify -- with the opportunity to progress to two further 6 week courses afterwards.

WOOLLY WEDNESDAYS

A welcoming textiles group held each week in term time. From fleece to felt with every aspect of wool & textile based craft in between! This group is suitable for all abilities from beginners to advanced - bring a current project or start a new one and meet like minded spinners, knitters and felters over coffee, tea & cake. Projects include all aspects of knitting, weaving, crochet, felting as well as surface textiles & stitch. Share & develop your skills and enjoy the benefits of craft for wellbeing and peer support as many expert textile artists & wool crafters are here on hand!

PROJECT LINUS
quilting group

2nd THURSDAY every month

This is an open drop in quilting group to learn quilting and to make quilts for sick and traumatised babies, children and teenagers for Project Linus UK. Lots of expert tuition available
If you would like to join us for this monthly creative get together for a wonderful cause, with lots of support, then please do come and join us 9.30am -12pm the 2nd THURSDAY of each month at the studio.
Materials provided and/or bring your own. £4 suggested donation each session. No experience necessary, lots of guidance and support, and all abilities welcome.
